Machine-Built Architecture Conservancy
The Machine-Built Architecture Conservancy is a non-profit venture formed in 2023 to promote awareness and preservation of historical structures built primarily by machines, to support projects related to machine-built architecture and environments, and to further appreciation of the cultural and historical values of machine-built architecture.
Currently, the board is focused on relocation and preservation of two concrete houses built by a large machine in the 1940's in Texas. The machine was able to lay foundation and walls, as well as roofing, in a single day, allowing for quick and efficient construction of homes, while also providing a high level of quality and durability. Future plans include preservation of other examples for future generations to benefit and learn from.
